The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
Active Hubs for Exploration
Both Library Media Centers at Mark Twain International School - there is one in each campus - are attractive and active hubs for world knowledge and exploration. These are the places that members of our learning community visit weekly for reading, inquiry, research, master classes, debates and extension seminars, with access to thousands of books and periodicals in English, Romanian, German, Spanish, French and Chinese.
MTIS Library Staff members are teachers, focused on providing adequate resources and multiple learning opportunities for all our students. They collaborate with class teachers accross the international curriculum, encourage diverse learning experiences, and facilitate cultural and social perspectives in the spirit of intellectual freedom and access to information, a pre-requisite of successful teaching and learning.
Do not read, as children do, to amuse yourself, or like the ambitious, for the purpose of instruction. No, read in order to live.
