As promoters of all forms of the arts, MTIS initiates and supports cultural and performing arts events where talented young people are encouraged to come to the fore, learn, create, experiment and, why not, enjoy the spotlight.
Exploring Music Genres
At Mark Twain International School, the show is never over. As promoters of the arts, our school initiates and supports an ever-growing variety of cultural and performing arts events designed to inspire students to come to the fore, learn, create, experiment and, why not, enjoy the spotlight.
Crossroads - Battle of the Bands, at its 2nd edition in 2013, is not an accidental cultural gesture, but an ample event that shows the world that Mark Twain International School is a community open to all genres of music and to their genuine values. The study of different musical styles and instruments is already an important part of MTIS tradition, which is why the idea of a rock festival was greeted with much enthusiasm by our students.
As MTIS cultural products have a broad impact every time, Crossroads BOB too instantly became a landmark for high school pre-summer events on the Bucharest scene, demonstrating from the start that it was not just a competition of sound waves, but also an occasion to meet parents, teachers, students and fans of the competing bands, in a musical fusion atmosphere, where well-rehearsed rock beats alternated with daring heavy metal rhythms and inspiring ballad tunes.
