Camp Costinesti - The private camp at Costinesti
We have already started, among exams and festivals, to make plans for the summer days. Leave everything and come to Costinesti, where, as usually, our camp on the shore of the Black Sea is waiting for us. We are going to wallow, to play, to dance, to travel, to fight with the pillows or to tell stories.
After the great success it had last summers, MTIS offers you again, from 8th of July to 12th of August, a wonderful private camp on the sea shore, at Costinesti. We will conquer new frontiers together with the same talented and devoted teachers who will accompany you in an unforgettable adventure by the seaside.
You will enjoy: walks on the sea shore, cruises, competitions, games, outdoors disco, stories around the camp fire, visits at the aquarium and Tomis and Callatis vestiges, aquatic adventures at "Aqua Magic" in Mamaia, passionate baseball matches and of course, pillow fights.

Camp Costinesti is open between July 8 and August 12.
There will be three series (each 12 days and 11 nights) held over this period of time, as follows:
1≈ July 8th through 19th;
2≈ July 20th through 31st;
3≈ August 1st through August 12th.
In case all the places will be covered, there will be a fourth series, from 13th to 24th of August.
The number of students in each series: 10 (minimum) - 24 (maximum). Registration is done on a first-come-first-served basis, according to availability.
The students who participate in other trips organized by MTIS during 6th of July – 14th of September will benefit by a 25% reduction of the cost of the camp.
Further Information
As you have asked us a lot of questions about Camp Costinesti, we have made up a list with more details about it::
• Camp Costinesti represents the first Summer School unit included in a large project currently under development at Mark Twain School. This project is about continuing the educational process during vacations. In the near future, similar camps will open in the Arges and Prahova Valleys.
• The building where the camp takes place is owned by MTIS. The modern villa, having an area of 400 square meters, is situated on a terrace in the new Residential Area. The construction of the house was finished in 2000.
• Camp Costinesti is available only for MTIS students in the summer time or during the school year through organized trips.
• The fee of 16.000.000 ROL or 1.600 RON includes all the expenses that come up during the 12-day stay.(transportation by train or bus, accommodations, meals, educational resources, specialized teaching staff, personal school doctor, administrative staff, shows, visits to various touristic points).
