Admissions

MTIS enrolls, at request and according to available places, students between 3-18 years old from countries all over the world.

MTIS students will reapply during the months of March and April of every precursory school year for which they solicit the application.

The admission and the reapplication into MTIS will be made according to:
• the student's potential to benefit from the offered educational services;
• the school's capacity to meet students' educational needs;
• the student's ability to respect "Student's Rights and Responsibilities";
• the student's fulfillment of the medical requests;
• the parents' or guardians' fulfillment of financial obligation.

Age requirements

Children who want to enroll into MTIS must be, before the 15th of December of the current school year, the age of:
• 2 yrs for Pre-primary (2-3);
• 3 yrs for Pre-primary (3-4);
• 4 yrs for Pre-primary (4-5);
• 5 yrs for Pre-primary (5-6);
• 6 yrs for Preparatory (6-7);
• 7 yrs for Elementary: 1st Grade (7-8).

In order to enroll in grades II-XII, you must present the grades record or other appropriate school documents from the previous school/s the child attended.

Grade placement

The initial students' placement will be strictly made according to the age requests at the enrollment, and the subsequent promotion will be decided by our specialized staff.

MTIS reserves the right to ask students to pass an interview or an assessment test before the enrollment, or one month after the enrollment, to make sure students have been well placed.

Students transferring to MTIS from other schools in Romania or from abroad must present the grades record and a request of transfer. In these cases, the above mentioned types of assessments are still valid as well.

English / Romanian language level

MTIS prefers that students between 2-11 years old, who apply for pre-primary through the 4th grade, have a sound knowledge of English and Romanian without making this a condition for application.

The students that do not know or do not have a grasp on one or both languages will be assessed at the beginning of the school year and will be placed in the appropriate grade for their age. They will attend frequently, for the duration of one semester to two school years, Romanian and/or English workshops.

It is mandatory that students between 11-14 years old who request to be enrolled in grades V-VIII have a sound knowledge of English and Romanian because of the complex high standard teaching level and curriculum.
