09.03 / The Kraft Confection Factory, Brasov
Due to the PYP unit "Healthy Is Happy" 1st graders went on a trip to Brasov. The main objective was visiting the confection factory in Brasov.

15.02 / Fund Raising
Since the beginning of the semester, MTIS students and professors were able to come up with 700 Euros for the victims of the Tsunami disaster.

8.02 / A Trip to the Dentist
On Tuesday, February 8th, the 1st graders visited a dental office due to the ongoing PYP unit, "Healthy and Happy".

28.01 / Inter-school Winter Cup
Students from MTIS took part in the Inter-School Winter Cup 2005, and came back with 10 medals.

Let's Be Pilots!

During our Flight of Fancy PYP unit, we, the Sunbeams, the Musketeers, and the Squirrels from second grade, got together with military pilot Nicolae Nedelcu so we can find out how to fly an airplane. We did our research, and we carefully prepared our questions.

Thanks to our research, we improved our vocabulary in this domain: carrying capacity, traction, flaps, rotor etc. We went there with our research results, and the pilot explained in detail what an airplane is made of, how it is flown, its maximum speed, how it functions in the air, and the different kinds of fuel various airplanes take. We also found out that the flight is not influenced by outside temperature or by seasons.

We now know a lot more about airplanes, and are very happy about our meeting with Pilot Nicolae Nedelcu. Some of us even want to become pilots!
