Information and Communication Technology
This club is perfect for children who are passionate about learning and discovering new ideas, and especially for the ones who would like to learn how to program a computer. This way, they familiarize themselves with the wonderful computer language, Turbo Pascal, at a young age.
What is Turbo Pascal?
Turbo Pascal is an educational computer programming language which aims at developing and improving an algorithmic way of thinking. Thus, the basic knowledge is established for the young programmers, and it will help them discover and choose their profession.
In conclusion, this is what we wish our students to walk away with after completing this computer programming language course:
1. the ability to solve logical and analytical problems. The need to disassemble a program into its base components and to codify a solution develops the analytical thought;
2. experience in solving problems. By transposing the source in code, or by decoding even the smallest program, the student is offered the opportunity to exercise his/her own techniques of problem-solving;
3. basic knowledge of software. Even if the programs for students are insignificant, the process of writing such programs offers students the basic understanding of the way in which a software is created and the way it functions.
