Spanish is the second internationally-used spoken language, being a Romantic language that is easily learned, just like Romanian.
The study of the Spanish language became more popular in recent years because of Latino music, and its impact on the public, and the rapid spread of soap-operas.
In this class we try to cultivate a taste for a language and a culture that sprung up in the oasis of the general knowledge. (stories about the conquering of America, about Christopher Columbus, Cervantes, corrides, flamenco etc.).
Being that this is an international school, we cannot ignore the fact the Spanish is a big part of the world we live in, being the second largest spoken language in North America, the first in South America, and widely spread on all the other continents as well. Also, this class is offered due to the fact that the parents voted in its favor.
The main objectives of this course are:
• communication in Spanish at an elementary level, in simple language;
• the use of Spanish as a means of ordinary communication;
• developing the capacity of comprehending a message.
The subject's content:
• vocabulary elements;
• phonetics (phonetic difficulty);
• spelling;
• phrases;
• usage of verbs and verbal phrases;
• communication;
• elements of Spanish and Latino-American culture.
